Each day i run with outstretched arms,

Those stairs i was climbing four at a time

Where are the walkers
i've been running after ?
They went down the road which cuts across,
out of the beaten tracks.

I will never meet them again.
They are a long way ahead,

Running is to flee from what is needed.
